About
Blue-turtle gallery is located within a historic stone church that was built in the 1920’s. It once was the home to an AME congregation that would spend most Sundays singing, worshiping and selling conch fritters from out of the bell tower. They built the church mostly with stones found around the island. After sitting ten years without a roof, enough money was raised to have one constructed.

Artist and Gallery owner Teresa Willis along with her family renovated the property in 1993 after it had been neglected for over eleven years. Part of the renovation included installing stained glass windows which Teresa designed. Notice the oak trim inside. This was milled from a tree in Teresa’s parents backyard.

Today the church is home to the gallery, design company and two apartments.
